Just put a deposit down on an Imperial Blue '98 4.2 from Offords.

... so if you could all just shuffle up a bit I'll be joining you.

Got a fair p/x on the Chimaera, but with 3 young boys I just HAD to get myself a *ahem* 4 seater.

Having owned an S3 and a Chimaera over the last 6 years, I'm going in with my eyes wide open.

The shopping list has started already, but I won't be picking the car up until after it's had a service and MOT (hopefully end of the week). How's a man supposed to sleep in the meantime ??

Welcome to the extraordinary world of cerbera ownership. I am a recent joiner having took possession in January. A few weeks off the road to sort out the items picked up in the ppi and now I'm back on the road, the smile remains firmly stiched to my face.

Enjoy!

Hi
I too just joined the Cerb clan.

Got my 4.5 last Saturday and every time I drive it, it rains!

But I got it to drive it not hide it away, so fully expecting 10,000 mile a year if all goes well!

Three trips to France planed for this year, Le Mans 24hr, Le Mans Cassic and Anouleme Classic racing.

So hope it holds out, as my side lights have just packed up!
First of many breakdowns?? Ha-Ha!
But I'm a mecnanical engineer and agree they need to be used not left to rot away to keep them reliable.

So enjoy and put loads of miles on it!

Welcome. You'll have much fun driving and tinkering. Looks lovely. Some slightly upturned SS pipes would look nice.

PS How about some clear side repeaters ?

Good thinking; that and some new wheel nuts will finish off the exterior nicely

Nah....

Old wheels, old headlights, old rear lights, she looks beautiful as is........ Leave the orange one's on there. We're running out of "original" cars as it is.

Fair comment Russell; the plan is to leave the car 'original' bar a few necessary improvements, wherever possible, so I take your point about the repeaters.
