hi guys, how are you doing...

just wondering what you guys make of now living in dubai and working there etc

im eventually looking to move there for a year or two to work as a graphic designer/art director

what do some of you lot do/experiences etc.

I'm a Senior Design Manager for Al Futtaim Carillion. The jobs ok! The lifestyle is the mutts nutts. thumbup

thumbup from me to! I'm a copywriter and there's no shortage of work for a GOOD designer/art director - recruitment agencies a bit patchy, but regular ads in Gulf News and most agencies will be happy to see you and your portfolio

accommodation pricey, cars and petrol dirt cheap.

VP for a PR company - been in media and marketing for a while.

Originally asked to come out and run a corporate film production house - moved to my current job just under 2yrs ago.

great stuff...interesting to see most of you are in media/design related roles too, thanks for info

bit shocked on the accomodation being pricey bit though....i thought as supply is way higher than demand things would be relatively cheap

i was there a year ago anyway and some apartments etc aint too badly priced, unless you know otherwise

Its probably relative, given that you are currently in London.

We had the same here in Singapore, everyone saying how rental as so expensive, but still seemed to be a bargain compaired to zone 2 London!
