AJP/SP6 Mbe Software help??

I have been trying to get the diagnostic software working on my laptop to the tuscan. Its the latests sw with the yellow cerb pics.

All the settings for com ports are right and that, have searched and read many many old posts but still cannot seem to get it to work. The SW seems to be half connected as is says pleas wait in the lower panel after pressing F5, but it just keeps on doing this and does not display the readouts??

I have the ign on and immob off too.

Im wondering if its my usb-serial cable (ebay) that is the prob??

need the adaptive maps reset for the new chip I have fitted from DOM

Mine can take ages before it connects up, it sometimes gives me the impression it never will, then just as I am about to give up it connects then disconnects then back again, it's got a mind of it's own.

Oh right maybe I need to try leavin it longer, but it is like a min or two i have left it??

One point, I also run through a serail to usb adapter, from Maplins.

I run through a usb to serial adaptor. Easiest way is to ensure this is mapped as Comm1. You may have to juggle the ports around in Device manager to arrange them this way.
