I have green stuff on mine, cant really recommend them as they seem to be usless until warmed up. Will be changing them soon for something that works better from the off.New reds seem to work very well from cold, in the past they've been a bit hit-and-miss until upto temp', I've been using EBCs for 7 or 8 years.
The new reds, now come with self adhesive anti squeel pads, mine used to squeel like a pig so I'll find out if they're any better tomorrow when I use the car in anger at the first TVRCC Speed Champ' sprint event of '08.

Reds it is! Are they I assume the first are correct for fron and the other correct for rear. I think i only need fronts but is it worth doing all round at the same time?I have just replaced both axles and they were £85.85 delivered from: www.ebcbrakesdirect.com

Yep, that's fronts and rears for a STANDARD 4.2 Caliper, if yours is a 4.5 please check which caliper you have.I have just replaced both axles and they were £85.85 delivered from: www.ebcbrakesdirect.com

If the car's going in for pads, it takes no longer than 15 mins to change the rears as you don't even need to remove the caliper from the upright, so, well worth doing IMHO

Copied from one of my previous posts:
[quote]I've just spanked up the plastic for some Pagid Blues (RS-4) for the rear and Yellows (RS29) for the front.
I accept that they're quite likely to be pretty noisy, but the current EBC yellows aren't exactly church mice.
My thinking is that in road trim, the Cerb is heavier than its racing cousins and there's more weight transfer under braking (despite the track-biased Nitron set-up), so a high-friction endurance pad is probably the best overall solution. Given the lower burden taken by the rear, a more progressive pad which is less likely to snatch, is possibly a better bet.

Worked well yesterday, just a shame my tyres didn't in the wet!!!!

Ordered fronts but rears needed doing too. EBC sent the fronts but there is a fault on them as they wont fit, just very slight manufacturing error I guess. The rears I thought were ok but actually they are worse than the fronts so as I had a chap here doing them I was going to just buy from the TVR centre which is close to me. Found out though that you can slap on the front pads from a mini 1275GT! so I picked those up for £18.80! Front pads still have about 1.5k use on them so the car is good to go, although i will possibly not have a chance to bed them in before I take her out for a run on Sunday, but I guess rear pads are not as critical and I'll take it slow until I have driven maybe 30 miles.
Worth remembering the pads for the mini tip...

Exactly, they need grinding. I dont mind doing that but I am bit peeved that they are not correct from word go as I now need to pay the chap to come back again...
It's probabally only the thickness of the paint, I could have scrubbed the pad on the driveway and it would have been enough for them to move freely.I'm also suspecting that there are variations in the calipers as a pad of mine fitted freely in one caliper and tight in another, so some of the 'blame', if there were any, would be with AP Racing too.
Think you may be over reacting a tad.

I have nothing to do with EBC, other than the fact I use their products.

Maybe - but, and please, correct me if I am wrong cos I know nowt about these things... but should a part not just fit?!
Mechanic said he could grind it but as he was doing it outside my house, he needed to come back another day anyway. Had I been at garage I am sure it could have been sorted but to be fair, he changed the plugs on my BMW, did the rear pads, had a go at the fronts and the whole lot cost me £70 in labour. He will do the pads on the cerb, the throttle cable and change oil on the BMW fr £40 if I buy the parts.
