1st out in a V8S

V8yale (Allan) called round yesterday and kindly took me for a quick spin in his V8s, was I impressed definately. It is a completely different machine from the V6 performance wise, the torque appears to have no confines, its just there all the time. I think it has longer gearing as well, or maybe thats just a result of the way the torque behaves.Anyway whatever its a bloody lovely machine, the cleanest I've seen and an obvious credit to its owner, oh and I havent mentioned the noise, Wonderful.

Such slanderous lies. There certainly are some bounders and cads on this forum these days. I remember when all t'were fields and cars were green and fitted in rather nicely with the general verdant decor. Oh and of course they were faster than these new-fangled blue ones.

It just approaching the end of a rebuild. It's more or less back together but still needs a lot of fettling before it will be ready to be used in anger. The good news is that with the new ECU and some extra injectors I think I've finally fixed the off-load stutter. So that gloriously rorty idle has calmed down, but it does mean I've got a decent chance of passing the MOT now.

Unfortunately for various tedious reasons it's taking a long time to finish off all the loose ends. But I'm getting there, slowly.

* I've just double checked the V5 to make sure.
