Right then chaps, I need your thoughts / comments

I have a set of new nitrons for the chimaera and after getting them found out that you can have the springs swapped to Eibach. What are the advatages going for the Eibach units ??, the car is not going onto the track so comfort / handling is what I want.

Thanks for the replies

Eibach are each rated and tested to finer tolerances. probably only any point if it is tracked.

I asked when I bought my Nitrons and was told not to bother.

Depends if you like wasting money or not. If you're not a serious track dayer then you won't notice any difference.

Why not spend the money on something else, like bigger brakes, if you must spend the money.

Eibach springs are the best. If you are going to use a soft spring then the better quality will give you better matched spring rates which is more important with the softer spring.

I don't think the cost difference between 'std' and Eibachs is going to buy you very much of anything in the braking store confused

The potential sagging of springs in the near/distant future which would entail replacement would probably nudge me toward paying the bit extra for good quality (controlled) springs... however I am in a minority when I suggest that a lot of owners could tell the difference between spring changes but would not have an inkling if you changed their dampers.. Expensive dampers & any old springs just seems like lunacy IMHO.

I did say if its tracked.

This comment came from the main Nitron agent and I am assuming he knows his stuff.

2 other points to note, Eibach's are lighter than the Nitron alternatives, and they do not come in the same rating as the Nitrons, so you'll be upgrading the spring stiffness as well . .

It's a lot of money for a small and onl slightly noticeable difference, altough for the difference you won't get a set of Wilwood's . . .

Fitting Eibach spings didn't help a lot of the TVR range, having a good valving/spring rate is more important IMHO
The springs Nitron use are more than adequate for all usage and have very little sinkage in my experiance.
