I want to re cover the carpeted section of the door card & the side bolsters on the trans cover in leather.
I'm not sure if the flat part of the door card is all part of the shaped panel or a sep bit? In either case how do I get at it?
Also how do the bolsers attach?
Any advice will be appreciated.
While Im at it has anyone else done this? If so pictures would be nice before I go too far.

The door card is separate from the shaped moulding. You remove the door reflector as there's a screw behind it and then undo the bolts inside the door working through the speaker aperture!
The central bolsters are easy enough to get at. Just remove the two M6 nuts either side of the centre console and lift it a little. The bolsters just slide out backwards once you lift the console.
Assuming the Chim is the same as the Griff here!

I recovered mine in alcantara-type stuff, it was really easy and looked good. I've got a set of pics at home I could post up, but from memory there are 2 or 3 M6 nuts you have to get at through the speaker holes, and you will scratch your arm up nicely! If your Chim has door ashtrays, there is another screw behind these IIRC. Good luck!
PP, remove the ashtray, and screw behind, then the speaker & 3 horrible nuts behind. The outer panel should lift away & up - be prepared to unhook the wiring (seems like some may have the multi-connectors removed so be ready to mark them up / have something to prop the panel on).
The door card has some 'hidden' screws holding it in - you just have to find them..
The centre console removal is pretty tricky on the early cars to say the least!
First get under the car and slacken off the handbrake adjuster as far as it will go.
Remove the screw at the back of the console, the gear knob, door knob, and handbrake handle. Lift the handbrake on as far as it will go. Lift the rear of the console and draw back - it is hooked in at the front with two prongs that engage under the outer ridges on the transmission tunnel. These prongs can be trimmed down a bit to make the process easier, and don't forget this is the ideal time to fettle the main battery earth.
Once the panel is disengaged you just disconnect the window lift switch connections, and jiggle it up over the handbrake (I swivel mine 90degs with the seat out of the way)
