more MX5 questions

Hello,
I'm back to pick all you very helpful peoples brains again!!! I think I've decided to go for a 1.8MX5-what is the difference between a 1.8i and a 1.8si? Which models come with a hard top and soft top or is that extra? Is there some reading matter that will help me to sort out all the different variations? Are the soft tops fairly tough or do they need to be handled with kid gloves? what about security with the soft top. I think thats it for now, I'm not in a rush to get one I just want to make sure I've done my homework. Does anyone know of a good Mazda garage in Surrey/Hants? Yep, I think thats it so THANKS!!!!!

The car is standard with a soft top, hard tops are extra, about £1500 from Mazda but you can pick them up from forums/ebay for about £500.

I think the 1.8iS just had a better spec than the 1.8i, few more electrics etc. Then there's lots of special/limited editions, again, variations on extra gadgets etc.
This is quite good for the special editions.
