I'd be correct in saying this only applies to PS3 and not the 360?

Funnily enough I've played a couple of games on the 360 recently where I could swear the person who went about 60 for no kills in one game must have had some kind of aimbot thing on although I thought this was not possible on the 360.

Although this is the PS3 version, I'm sure people cheat on the 360 versions. I've been killed and when I look at the killcam I can't even see myself.

Well just to counter hacking claims my bro spends every space second on this it seems and Ive seen him go 60 for 4 or 5 a few times (he only plays 18 man ground wars so loads around).

Ive also seen him walk into a building, and someone got the team rader up. At which point he sees a dot on the mpa, aims at the ceiling and fires twice killing a bloke on the floor above.

It was pretty much at that point I gave up as id never ever get that good at it.

I've been shot though a wall, whilst i was in prone. I wasn't to fussed until i watched the reply, and the guy who killed me was facing the other way, stopped, turned around, and fired 2 or 3 rounds from his lmg, straight into my head..... And i was using my super ninja mode, UAV jammer and silenced M4.

Auto aim or what. I think he finished 90-3 or something.

There is good and just "too" good. I've done the shoot through the ceiling thing before but there are people who do things that you couldn't do without cheating.

Years of playing first-person shooters have taught me that people are very quick to accuse others of cheating. I have been accused several times on the 360 of using "wall hacks" and "aim bots" (which of course i don't).

There are several areas were i spam bullets into a wall knowing there is a good chance someone will be behind it (the blue room in crash is a good example), that would look highly suspicious on replay.

Yeah it doesnt help that if you do hit someone the crosshair changes so you know right away and can fire more in.

I think 99% of "cheating" is actually just bad loosers not being able to take it on the chin.

I would like to think that Microsoft etc punish the small minority if they can be caught cheating, then of course you need to define cheating. Do MS actually use the feedback votes you can leave if people online are cheating?

I got hit by a helicopter 5 seconds into a game once, with no scores posted it or kills registered it all seemed a bit odd!

i doubt you can cheat with the 360 as even loading Linux on it is difficult. where the PS3 is open to linux and hackers tools

Am i right?

shame or not, quiet cool exploiting it, just means patches need to be updated

Yup that and horrible lag - I've had plenty of WTF moments when someone's killed me before they've even come around a corner or before I should be visible to them... that usually turns out to be lag related.

Apart from on the PC of course in games like CS and then it really is 99% of people cheating lol.
What i could never understand was why certain people did cheat.I don't mean the ones who
make it obvious so they can simply ruin peoples games, i mean the ones who try not to be detected.
What exactly do they get from knowing that every kill they got was nothing to do with them?
People used to try and be even less obvious by sharing connections and looking at a mates monitor etc.
Again, never understood it myself, they are all just utterly useless idiots imho.
I was accused many times on CS of cheating, as were many of the superb CS playing mates i had, but the amount of people
we banned as admins was a joke in the end and it became harder and harder to detect great players from cheaters. It killed the glory days for us and if it starts to be the same on consoles it will be back to friends only all of the time for me.

They can add "Rank 55 on Call of Duty 4" to their CV.

Helps when getting jobs at Burger King / Games Workshop etc

Holy crap, it just doesn't get any sadder than that.Seriously, if you are doing that in a game just to get kills, you need to
go see someone i think biggrin

I sonetimes get accused of glitching when playing a st team and end up with 60/10 kill/death ratio. There has to be some cheating going on or some players connections are a much quicker than everyone elses so they have that half second(more against euro players) advantage

It may be that some people are just bloody good, either through genetics or a 'trained' advantage.

Remember in WWI the Red Baron, was 80/1 and I think his brother was 40/1 too. It can happen!

I hope the Cod4 Developers get a patch out to fix this pretty quickly, else online play is kind of pointless.
