Whilst doing a quick check of everything prior to booking my pride and joy in for an MOT, I noticed that the hazard lights aren't working. The direction indicators are fine, therefore I assume its the button on the end of the indicator stalk. Does anyone know how you remove this and where I can get a replacement switch. Thanks

Just ease it out from the end gently - it's just a pushfit in. I'm guessing one of the wires might be broken?

The more likely cause is that the wires from the switch have been disconected. The switch hardly ever gets used so the chances of it failing are pretty slim. The wires from the button are connected to a PCB which is under the lower dash, located centrally, just above, or near, the steering column shaft. It's a head in the footwell with a torch job.
The button just pulls out, but you'll have to free up a bit of cable at the other end of the stalk to make enough slack to pull the button out, so while your doing that you may as well trace the cable to the PCB I mentioned above.

Errr...before you go dismantling anything, have you checked the fuse?

(main box in the boot, about half way down the row of fuses IIRC)

Im with JensenA on this one.The little plug can easily be dislocated from the small PCB board above the steering column.

Thanks everybody, the wires were a bit loose going to the PCB from the switch on the stalk, all OK now. The power of Pistonheads.
