Fitted one of these today, started with a bang rather than the few turns the old 072 (halfords) took, may have been a coincidence, ill know more after the cold start in the morning.

I've just ordered an Odyssey PC1500DT. High crank rating and the ability to handle deep cycles, so no problems if the battery occasionally runs flat.

Crikey, I should think so for 135 quid.Fitted one of these today, started with a bang rather than the few turns the old 072 (halfords) took, may have been a coincidence, ill know more after the cold start in the morning.

Fitted an Optima Red Top 4.2RTS to my 4.5 last week no problem.
Well, the garage did it for me actually...

Had I known how easy it was, I'd have had a go myself!
Do shop around as I had mine delivered for a whole lot less than I could get it locally. PM me if you want to know where I got mine from (£146 all in).
Cheers

Have had one from Racing green which fits as it it should and has turned out v good for first year and I think was about £80. Why pay more?
So no-one else gets a photo of me jump-starting the cerb after Le mans, having sat for 4 days and then having all 4 interior lights on for another 3 hours!!!
I just knew someone would know where to get one cheaper - just don't tell 'er indoors!!

Nick, if you want any tips on fitting it, just give me a shout - I watched the mechanics do it!!

Cheers
