Roll bar drop links
Discussion
I see these mentioned every now and then as a handling mod. Steve Heath I believe?
My 4.0 already has Nitrons and recent setup. What difference would these drop links make.
Are these the ones?

I just had the Steve Heath drop links fitted, front and back, to my Tuscan. Had the Geo re-set at the same time too. Although I know I need to upgrade the dampers/springs at some point in the near future, I did notice a difference in the handling. The ride feels firmer and it doesn't "wallow" as much into and around corners. Generally speaking, it feels a lot more solid and planted. Money well spent I reckon....

Yes and no. Those are from racetech, a rival to Steve. Many have used racetech and been happy. https://delta.securesslhost.net/~shenglt/catalog/p...My 4.0 already has Nitrons and recent setup. What difference would these drop links make.

With the standard drop link the rubber bush takes time to compress during cornering making the transfer of load via the ARB delayed. (We're talking fractions of a second here but turn in doesn't take long either.) Poly bushes, which come in varying grades are a half way house.
NVH problems mean that manufacturers don't normally fit rose joints but the down side for the arb drop links is less than any other joint and the upside is probably more.
Jonathan (PS classic is looking doubtful for me but the Combey is keen on a convoy down south.)
