Bought an mx-5
Discussion
Just got in from picking up a little 1992 1.6 mx5.
They drive much better than I thought they would. Got a few squeaks and rattles that need sorting, but its a fairly solid car. Just bought it as a rundabout but I can see it staying a while!

Nice one Alex :-) Just bought one too, today! '91 Miata 1.6 in silver. Lovely to drive.
It was also advertised on eBay but I got there first!

That looks realy nice! - Good bargain if you got it for that money, too.
What do you think of the TVR?
Paid £1625 for the MX5 (£1k on eBay was his start price with no bids). Looking for a hardtop now. It's fited with little 'race' mirrors which coupled with the misty rear window gives no rear view What do you think of the TVR?

I love the TVR but find it tiring as my daily drive. MPG is bad and I think possibly the H218 cam magnifies the 4.3 trait of being jerky around 1500rpm. I suspect the thermotime switch may be faulty as it's hanging on to 2k revs; climbs back down eventualy though. Other than that it is great fun
