BMW FRONT LIGHTS WARNING - BOTH BULBS ARE OK

Guys,
Heres the deal. Decided to fill my wash water resevoir and when i closed the bonnet i notice both warning lights come on the dash for the headlights. I've checked the bulbs thay seem OK. Its all four bulbs on the outer sides of the headight units which are not working - the small lights and parking. The main xenons are fine.

Could anyone enlighten me as to the best way to proceed?

Have you tried it with just the sidelights on? probably them.
