IIRC there were 2no. E21 320.
A 2.0L four cylinder with injection and a 2.0L straight six with carbs.

I had the latter, great car, not as good as the 323i.

As said, check for rust, including seat belts!

I'd have another, if I could find a good one......

As heard elsewhere: "They rust. A lot. On the bodywork, mostly, but the glass and rubber bits aren't immune either."

Positive. Mine had rust in every single panel, apart from the front wings, both of which I replaced when I bought the car as they had rotted through.

ETA: I'd have another one in a heartbeat, though. Fantastic cars!

I know sorry i was being a bit sarcy, I have just been on the phone to Fritz Bits and of course mentioned in passing the rust issues and he also mentioned the carb should have been replaced by a Weber...

They were the last straight 6 with carbs (I believe).
So, quite a complex carb, difficult to balance.
But, great sound.

They are a real classic now IMHO.

yes I have been told if it is still on original carb basically walk away as it is a £500 job!!!

I do love the looks, more of a classic than the E30 with at present a touch more style...

To be honest, I wouldn't worry to much about the carb.
There must be plenty of cheap Webbers out there.

If it's in good solid condition - go for it!
Their future value is only going one way - and that's up.

They are nice cars.. very retro which is the 'in thing' at the moment.. be careful you dont buy a dog though!

Our 316 was a bit of a rot box but it was easily sorted with a mig and a bit of patience.

It's an M20 engine.. and so is the E30 325.. it drops straight in.. you just need to route a fuel return for the injection.
