Help For Brother in law in yorkshire
Discussion
i would not normall do this but im feeling like the good samariten today.
My bother in law lost his job as a apprentice cad person as the company he worked for went bust. He was doing car for a company that designed robotics systems for car production. He was also released to college one day a week.
Since being made redundent the college has stopped his course as he is no longer in an apprentice system.
He has done a mailshot etc to many places that he can find looking for a similar sort of deal.
He is curently 19 and is good at what he does.
Does anyone have any contacts or information about anywhere that would so a similar sort of thing in the yokshire area?
Cheers
Andy

I'm based in Leeds, ill see what i can do.
With regards his previous employer, i was under the inpression they had a duty of care regarding apprentices after redundancy.
When i did my Engineering apprentiship, a few lads from college were in a similar position, ie made redundant during their apprentiship, their companies had to activly seek alternative enmployment fir their redundant apprentices, at least covering the apprentiship period. (I appreciate this may be too late now).
Has he tried asking the local Technical College/Chambers of Commerce if they know of any roles available.
