I am looking at getting a helmet and gloves, but really want to go somewhere to try a few on to get the best fit, rather than just order one online. I know of GPR, but they are based quite a way away from me. Anyone know of anywhere close to either Reading or Swindon with a good range that I could try out? Cheers.

If you are near Reading/Swindon, there is a GPR in Londond and Silverstone, both only an hour drive away... There are kit shops at most tracks round the UK.

What's wrong with a motorcycle shop? You'll find a good seletion of lids in there at a fraction of the price of "motor sport" helmets, which you are frankly unlikely to need on a non-com track day...

And mail order your gloves if you really need to pay £87 for a pair of Sparco - they've got to be worth 10 seconds a lap, at that price?

Merlin Motorsport at Castle Combe circuit is pretty close to Swindon, they'e a good range of helmets, or at least they did last time I went there a couple of years ago.
