CKC has reshaped ultima

the new issue of complete kit car has ultima bodywork being done by somebody else.. but basically its a new front clam.. and if enough interest a new rear clam.. looks quite good actually!

also a bit on the ultima being used as another mule?.. ala mclaren? anybody know anything because apparently ultima are keeping stuhm.?

Yep, I know but in a round about way I guess I'd better not talk about ls7's. The way forward if you put in the development.

I'm not too sure about changing the front end design, either as an after market mod, factory option or even factory mid life-cycle minor change. The original shape is born from group C racers and along with the ProSports etc are about as close as you can get to owning a group C on the road (I'm assuming we don't wanna pay Porsche 962 money).

Any stylising of the car may well improve it's looks (in the contempory design sense) , but if that sketch is anything to go by, will just make the design tend towards other mid engined sports types.

Me too.. i like the simplistic look of the ult..

however when i show people pictures of what im building they often say the front seems to plain.. maybe this company has picked up on similiar comments?

what about the mule.. its definatly longer than a standard GTR

My thoughts is that it does not fit. My idea would be to update the design to more modern Le Mans prototype and more importantly incorporate a front splitter and enclose the space up to the wheels.

I personnally didn't like the look of the car in the mag and have seen much better mod, just didn't suit the shape IMO but would need to see better pics to really judge.

I do beleive that Aston Martin bought some Ultimas a few years back as I bought a load of bits from the abandoned project (decided not to go a mid engine route so I understand).
