It's been quite a while since I have posted any updates but I have done a lot of designing and manufacture of components and yet no stages of the supercharger have got sufficiently completed to do a proper post. I have however completed the minor part of the installation and connection of new 3" Mass Airflow Meters. I previously posted, (I think), that I now have the car running on these, but the install was not up to standard, so I have now redesigned and manufactured the components up to an acceptable standard.

I realised straight away that the standard hose clips (jubilee clips) would be both too narrow and too uneven to give a firm seal on Silicon hoses. I tried some top quality ABA stainless steel clips but I was still not happy with these on the Silicon hoses, so I sourced some 19mm wide Stainless Steel T-Bolt clips which have an absolutely smooth internal face and smoothed edges to prevent the band digging in to the hose.

I then just fitted the anodized nuts and washers.

The next major problem when fitting the 3" AFM's was getting some Silicon hoses to adapt from the new 3" AFM's to the smaller Airbox outlets and the oval DK Motor inlets. A simple tapered hose was fine for the airboxes, but the DK motor hoses not only needed a 135 Deg bend in them, they also had to change from the 3" round of the MAF to the oval of the DK's. Originally I did this with 5 ply hose but this wall thickness does not allow a sufficient purchase on the clamp to hold it properly as there is no room with a 5 ply hose to get a clip on straight and properly.

I therefore had to manufacture a 135 Deg bent, tapered bore hose, with a tapered wall thickness from 5 ply to 3 ply and here is the result.

The above pic shows the oval 3-Ply DK motor end and below shows the 5-Ply MAF end.

So here is what the complete system looks like loosely assembled off the car. I will do a post later when I have completed the full induction system from it's main intakes in the front panel, through the blower, via the chargecoolers to the engine inlet manifolds.

Stay tuned for the next installment - the belt drive systems.

Looks like an interesting project!

Im doing some leg work at the mo,sourcing carbon bits, cage etc for another interesting project...putting the M5 V10 and SMG into a TVR Cerbera!!!
Its gonna take a while to create(sub 2 years) until the business up and running

Personally for that kind of power, i'd dump the airflow meters.

so the charger is going after the throttle body?

No, between the intakes and chargecoolers,

I dont understand where its going to sit in relation to what you have posted above then - as the first part looks like the air box and and last part looks like the throttle body?

Why not simply go map sensors??? AFM's are seriously old skool & restrictive! Plus your going have diddly the output anyway to get relible readings.

presumably without the air filters? .. can't the point of filtering the air after it's gone through the supercharger already! are you just using them as large pulse-dampening chambers or something? presumably also made in aloy or something equally capable of standing the boost better than the plastic things you're showing in the pics and some large blow off valves in there? seems a strange set-up but I look forward to seeing it finished.

AFM's are only restrictive when using a flap valve, these are hot wire meters.

With the clamps spun around, black silicon hoses and a stock appearing airbox lid, the install will hopefully be stealthy enough to appear stock.
