What to do British GP

Hey all im planning on taking my old man to this years British GP for his 55th which is next week
However I have never been to Silverstone and not to sure what tickets I should get.
Obviously its a lot of money £99 just for general admission.
Are these ok or shall I go for the Bronze terrace at £145
Choices are Luffield A, B, Pit Straight, Copse B or Copse C
Choices are all on here, but if people could help me out.

I have only ever been in the grandstands on the pit straight and I wouldn't recommend it. Admittedly it was in the days before the giant TV screens around the track, but all we saw was the start and then a blur as cars flew past from then on. Would suggest something that has a view of as many corners as possible.
ETA having looked at the map, I would go for Luffield B - you should be able to see the exit of Bridge, Priory, Luffield and a bit of Woodcote.

I have only ever paid for general admission. It's relatively good value for money. OK, you don't get the coverage you would on your sofa, but a Kangaroo TV sorts that out, and I'd rather have the 120dB of V8 than James Allen for 2 hours!
You get the three days (for £99 in '05 - though they are no doubt cashing in on Lewis), and you can watch from wherever you find a space. Standing next to Maggotts is a must, end of hangar straight to see the braking. Bridge has some OK viewing spots to see them come through the chicane and under the bridge. Awesome sound. I would say Club has the most view of the track. From Stowe up to Abbey.
Would definitely recommend camping, get a chance to take in the atmosphere, rather than just turn up, get squashed in hot and sweaty people, then queue for hours to get out. Much sooner take a casual walk back to the fridge and crack open a cold one.
Or... Spa is within a couple of quid of being just as cheap! I was shocked at how close it was!

Rubbish, this is not a room "no one visits", try looking at the posts made, this is the proper forum for motor racing content.It will get lost elsewhere or not been seen by those knowledgeable in the subject who can give you proper answers.

Two issues to consider. Are you just going for the Race or do you want to enjoy qualifying on the Saturday too? If staying overnight book a hotel / motel near Northampton or north of Silverstone, ie Weedon. If going for the day think about car parking, and weather issues, ie hot or cold / rain.
Get a covered grandstand near or in view of a jumbotron screen. Location around the circuit is not a major issue, but near a corner is better value than on a straight. You want to see the cars slowing and then sliding around the track not flying by at 180 mph.

Judging by the farce in qualifying at Sepang, I'd save up a few more pennies and take him to Lowes Motorspeedway for the All Star Challenge NASCAR event. It'd be much better to watch.
If you MUST go to the British GP, find somewhere near a nice big diamond screen, some (working) toilets, and a well stocked greaseburger stand. You should be set up then.

TBH probably the worst GP to go to unless you are in a grandstand, which in turn will set you back a small fortune.
Copse/Woodcote would be my choices, having been into them before ages ago. HAven't been back in almost 10 years.
General admission is hopeless and generally 15 deep. Get there early for a slot.
