Herts/Essex meet up
Discussion
I met up with S3DaveP last Saturday for a chat and compare. Nice to see Dave's white S3, which was beautifully cleaned up and shamed my 'still filthy from the holiday' S3.
TVRCC meet 20th August - Merry Fiddlers, Fiddlers Hamlet, Epping.
Dave is hoping to meet up with me, and Oatz is joining too. Anyone else want to come along to smother the Tuscans et al with S's? It would be great to see a whole row of S's in the car park.
Merry Fiddlers has good ale (just the one Mrs Wembley) and a large car park.
Podie - can you make it? Anyone else within reasonable distance of Epping?
Directions easy enough and will supply if needed. If you're coming from Herts, you could congregate at mine (B/Stortford) and convoy to the pub! Any takers?

Podie
Sorry about the quiet ( :tumbleweed: ) but I am supposed to be on the boss's time, so only check periodically!!
Assuming you can get to Epping, go through the High Street until you reach a double mini-roundabout. Coming from North, turn left (from South, turn right, ahem ). Hopefully this is signposted to the Station, but I think it's the only double mini-roundabout :fingerscrossed:
Follow the road down the hill, past the station, past a nobby school, and out into the countryside. You will want to adhere to the speed limits, coz the road surface is awful!
Just when you're thinking you've taken the wrong road, the Merry fiddlers car park will appear on the right. Don't worry if you overshoot, you can access it from the other end of the premises as well.

Send me directions, give me a time and I'll be there!
Recent meetings haven't seen the best of attendances due to holidays but I plan to be there this month too. I'll post a reminder under General Gassing in a few days to remind anyone else that the meet is on.

Podie- thanks for the offer to drum up support!
If I can get out of commitments, I might be able to come down to the Mid-Essex meet on Sunday - what time do you turn up?
No problem, will happily canvas after the Mid-Essex meet!
Mid-Essex meet - you've got 2 choices!
1) Meet at the White Hart in Chelmsford (from 11:00) and join the convoy (23 cars so far!) - we leave at 12:00 SHARP!
2) Meet us at the Forresters from 12:30 (mail "Yellow Peril" for directions and stuff!
Either way... be good if you could make it!

Fk me, that was a quick reply (or is it just me that can't get email notification of replies?)
I know Chelmsford well, but cannot place the White Hart - cannot miss opportunity of making up a round two dozen - awesome (and makes my meet look a bit pathetic too )
Doing my morning look through!
White Hart - opposite Sainsburys...

I'll see what I can do - going's not the problem - getting back to show my face to avoid upsetting the missus is. She wants me back 3ish - therefore Chelmsford around 2.30 Icould probably stretchit to C'ford by 3pm) - is this do-able?
Well for the convoy we take the slightly more scenic route... but if you got straight back onto the A12, then you can get back to Chelmsford from Gt Totham in around 20 minutes.
You'd be leaving slightly early, but if you could, it'd be good to see you - albeit briefly!!
