Hi all,

I'm off on a 2 week stag run in September and we are going to be hiring classic US bikes and cars for the round trip from San Francisco, down to LA, up to Vegas, and back to SF. Should be a truly epic journey.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a decent hire company with some nice US cars. Something like the old convertible T-birds, or Corvettes, or maybe even something more modern?

Thanks,

M@.

Why not hire one of the GT350 Hertz rentals? It's the new Mustang, but black with gold racing stripes, hood pins, high perf suspension and a tuned motor. I know quite a few people who have hired them and have had a lot of fun with them. Classic cars are going to be more difficult and more expensive to rent. I think there are a few classis/specialty car hire places in Vegas, but don't know about San Fran.

Hope this helps!

I'm not aware of any 'classic car or bike' hire places in San Fran or LA areas.....and I've been out there many a time for Hot Rod and Customs shows.

Actually we have changed our starting place now to Vegas.
Anyone know any places in Vegas to rent something nice and classic?

I quite fancy hiring a victory Vegas 8ball.

Thanks for that info. I've spotted them on the web before and they appear to be the market leader in this area. They are not great for bikes but the cars look great.

Did you pay the price on the site? Or were you able to haggle a bit?

Cheeers,

If memory serves me correct it cost just under £300 GBP for the two days so @ the time bout $600 odd dollers and worth every penny especially drivin out to the Hoover Dam in 2nd gear with the sidepipes poppin away - there are a couple of other rental places next to dreamcars in the same parking lot next to the Hard Rock that had various bikes and exotics, but something you must check out one day is the classic car showroom on top of the Imperial Palace - http://autocollections.com/

I hired a Ferrarri from Dream Car Rentals in Vegas, day after my wedding. No problems at all. They did measure the tread on the tyres though.
