Has anyone used one of these on trackdays / racing? If so, whats your opinion on it.

It does what it says it does. Makes lap timing easy and saves faffing about with a stopwatch. Mine is installed relatively covertly - track day outfits often object to stuff suction mounted to the windscreen. They also object to lap timing. It's overpriced for what it is, IMHO.

There is also the DL1 from Race Technology http://www.race-technology.com/dl1_2_27.html which also allows includes accelerometers to measure g-forces etc and has options for adding input from various sensors. It is a "non-display" product so you need to load the data on a PC to see lap/sector times etc. which actually makes it more trackday organiser friendly.

There are also cheaper options, products like VirtualCup which runs on a PDA (do google search).
