Has anyone heard of Werners flying watches
Discussion
I have just found this company. Does anyone have one and dealt with the company?

Thanks for finding that website - never heard of them before, but there are some very nice looking watches on there and at those prices, can afford to buy a couple and not worry too much about getting bashed up.
Will be interested to hear from anyone if they have had any experience of them, will be looking at getting one of them

I've got an Astroavia and to be honest its one of the best watches I have in terms of value for money.
I wear it almost 24/7... I dont worry about damaging it...and at present I'm considering (strongly) selling my Zenith el-primero rainbow flyback because its almost taken four place in my collection in terms of wearability.
It's like this one but has the alarm option, it cost about £85. The build quality seems absolutely spot on

But the dial is simply black and white.

I'd normally not go for a watch like that but i actually quite like it.I wear it almost 24/7... I dont worry about damaging it...and at present I'm considering (strongly) selling my Zenith el-primero rainbow flyback because its almost taken four place in my collection in terms of wearability.

Have you, or anybody else on here, had any dealings with andy's-pens? A bit reluctant to order as no location details on the web site. I also see that the prices (for the v1/v2 anyway) are £20 cheaper on andy's-pens than on wernersflyingwatches.com, which is only a few miles from me.bam50 said:

Dont think i would buy from this Andys Pens, for one thing I hear PayPal are a law unto themselves, and I prefer to use my credit or debit card directly when buying anything. The lack of an obvious address is also a clear no-no (I even think thats illegal in the UK).
Love the watch!!

......purchased the last one and the web site has been updated. After all they do say they only advertise watches they have in stock.

Fingers crossed that all this quoting comes out all right, otherwise this reply will look a right mess.

Fellow PH'ers, as mentioned in my earlier thread Werners is only a few miles (@5) from me. So, needing a new watch and with a couple of good reviews/recommendations on here and some nice watches on the web site I rung them (Nick) and arranged to go and view some of them. Nick is a nice friendly chap and is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about his watches, nice cup of tea too. There was no rushing me and he was more than happy to show me the watches I was interested in. In fact, I think that at one stage there were @ 9 different watches on the table. My personal preference was for the Navitimer style watches, and, not being able to make my mind up between two of them, agreed a price with Nick for both of them. (Speak to Nick for details). Now, just for the cynical amongst you I must add that even though Nick only lives a few (@5) miles from me that prior to this thread being started I had neither met him or known about Werners watches, in fact, it was a big surprise to me when I clicked on the link only to find it up the road. Having now visited, spoke and purchased from him I now have no hesitation in recommending him to fellow PH'ers. I've even said that should he by chance get a full white faced version in that I will also buy that from him as well. Anyway, enough talking, here's a picture of the two watches that I purchased, well I say I purchased, but in fact, I purchased one and the other half bought the other one for me. Ahhhh bless. Thanks Nick:-

Damn, that was quick delivery!
It is sitting on my wrist now, and it looks fantastic!
Full international warrenty, instructions, and a beautiful 7750, 21 jewel movement - for under £100 delivered. Stunning.
If anyone gets one, then please contact me for how to set it - takes a little figuring out (but Nick said he was going to update the instructions).
