been sorting out my air con today and while poking around in the passenger side footwell and dash area i found quite a sizeable mouse nest. looks like they vacated the premises a while ago (no fresh turds!)but they had chewed up quite a big piece of foam backing and made said home up behind the dash/side panel near the eye ball vent.lucky for me no wiring seems to have been touched.

Yes I've been advised to put a mouse trap in the garage quite recently although I've not seen any activity at all but I guess they are always around. No chewed hoses though.

thats twice i've been lucky, had a rats nest on top of my engine on my rover sd1, hadn't used it for quite a while and they were still there when i opened the bonnet.other than the sound proofing on the bonnet no damage.
went and bought an evil looking cat after that one!

I've got Horace the Spider who lives inside my door mirror, he's been there for about 3 months now. He makes a nice little web between the mirror and the door, I go for a drive and the web gets blown away. But after the car has been parked up overnight the web is back again. He's been all over the country and he's made his web and had fly dinner in Gloucester, Leeds, Barnetby-le-Wold, Swindon and France, he's a tough, well travelled little barsteward, and has even survived numerous jet washes as well. smile
