Hi all,

Is it possible to fir new style rear lights to my 94m chim.

If so how difficult is it and are any adjustments needed.

Thanks in advance for your help and see you all at Mania.

I once got a quote from a main dealer for this for my previous car - a 1999 cerby - but didn't go ahead as it was around £800 with all the repainting etc.

I dare say some of the independent body shops may do it for less.

I bought a kit to do the rear light up grade, when I got it just looked to much like hard work, so I sent it back and bought an afterburner kit.

Have a look at the link www.tvrbodyshop.com/ - not exactely next to Yorkshire, but it could be a nice drive - £395 +VAT or so it says and I doubt it's a Saturday job out on the road/driveway !!

I think that Peninsula were doing it somewhat cheaper IIRC.

Anyone got a pic of the after-burner lights when they are on?

There's some on a Cerbera (the Californian Sage Green one) at www.dreammachines.org.uk/ in the rearview pic (obviously!).

Mark, there is a guy in north York's who has done it, I took som pics at their last meeting. If you come next thursday he may be there. said there was nothing to it just a straight swop. It was him that told me how easy it was to push the front indicators out.

I thought fitting the updated rear lights required a 'bit of modification to therear of the car'

Don't know what exactly - just remember reading it in a previous thread ...

I'd get the afterburners ...

Perhaps when I said 'on' I should have said 'illuminated'.

Anyone got picks of the after-burners ablaze?

Proper TVR ones look loads better than the afterburners IMHO

Afterburners look a bit Max Power

Ben, wasn't I talking about this in Sunday at the pub? I'm sure I mentioned that I was thinking of doing the rears along with doing the headlight conversion to the front. Got some top shots of yours, you can really see the dirt

How was the Moto X or whatever it is you went to?

It really could do with a wash

Not sure about the rears, I don't like them but others think that they're great. I was dubious about the front ones when I was standing over the wing with an angle grinder, haven't looked back after that though

Moto-x was good, they really are nutters, one form of motorsport I can't see myself getting into
