Hi All

Thanks for the ebay lead Gazzab items arrived this morning and are now fitted. £30 the pair. Happy with the quality, leather is thick but supple so hopefully won't crack like the original leatherette items. Black contrasts with the portland tunnel so IMO they look better in black than portland originals.

Spawn here is the ebay number 230176453643.

What do you think?

Thanks again
Simon

did you fasten the gear lever gaiter to the underside of the tunnell? if so what did you use and did it have to come off?

Just a quick hyjack...I did this too last weekend, I used evo-stick to stick mine. A bit fiddly but 20 minutes and it done.

Just lift the end of the centre console at the helmet hole end and this gives you enough room to apply glue, leave for a few minutes and then stick gaiter to console.

Did you remove the gear knob? not looked at mine yet but leather has split, does the gear knob unscrew?

Just under the gear knob is a collar, this acts as a lock nut, just unscrew the knob ant-clockwise, if the collar also turns just grip it.

That looks really good, Simon. I have a similar problem with mine being worn out too, so I can see an impending purchase coming on!

I've just tucked the gaiters under the edges of the tunnel holes for now. They look fine but I will glue them properly using SI-PEN's method when I have more time.

£30 well spent I'd say, cheers Gazzab
