What do you think then? Best shot I can get at the moment due to the garage door.

Still got the covers to reattach and some Silvertech bulbs to buy but she's all wired up for action.

Excuse the paint too as my car appears to have been masked off by someone without opposable thumbs at some point.

I like those.

But why had you to remove the covers?

....To cut the old units out, and bond in the new units.

Oh.

The lights on mine are fitted from inside the boot and are held in place by 3 screws.

I can take them out pretty much at will, no cutting involved.

I thought all Cerbs were done like that.

I'm educated now. biggrin

Ireland - Just to continue your education hehe The 3 screws that hold in the original Ford Fiesta lights, screw into a fibreglass housing that is part of the original bodywaork.
When you fit new light units you have to chop away all of that that fibre glass housing so tht the new units can be bonded in behind the resulting large aperture. So in the pic below - taken after I bonded in the new units - you would have to cut around the dotted line.

Believe me!.It crosses my mind every single minute of the day.I really dont want it to go.But i have too much.I dont want to use it as an every day car,so its kept in a garage. But the last straw was the local council.I rent a garage from them. And as i am not a council tenant they want to raise the current rent from £5 a week to £50 a weekyikes.I think i will definitley ber back, when i have straightened things out.

Yup we can see the pic.

So is that the same for the older square taillights?

Hi Dave - yes mine were the old square tailights, now replaced with the ones you see in the foto. The 'housing' of the old ones inside the boot has to be all chopped away - and there's quite a lot of it.
