Alonso 'disses' Massa and angles for his Ferrari seat

I think Massa made a pretty schoolboy error at the weekend - from the in-car footage he appeared to get on the gas quite early in that corner and without the babying TC his Prancing Horse decided to swap ends.Has he got the talent to keep his seat? Alonso is clearly angling for a Ferrari drive already.

As in business, the most successful have the natural ability BUT also manners and character. Think Moss, Stewart, Hill, Rosberg Snr, Lauda, Prost etc..

The rumour last week was that Ferrari was interested (or had even done a deal with) Vettel for the future based on the feedback from the STR Ferrari links, so perhaps Alonso has already burned his Fezza bridges already....maybe why he's said this to try and keep it alive, the timing would fit in.
I can't see Alonso going to Ferrari while Kimi is there, not after the Alonso-Hamilton fiasco last year.

Him getting fired from Ferrari in '91 was just a management shake up then was it....?
Agree about Alonso though - he must be kicking himself that he went to McLaren last year instead of opting for a Ferrari seat and gambling that Schumacher would retire.
He's clearly wanting out of Renault, which won't endear him to the team, and I'd be surprised if Ferrari were so quick to get shot of Massa. Unless of course he continues to drive like he's just come off the Sunshine Bus....

The Spantard is showing a complete lack of any understanding of people management.
He joins Renault, everyone thinks he's great, so what message does he send? "I don' really want to be here because it's sh't, and you're all sh't. I'm only killing time."
I await the inevitable mechanical problems, and the ascent of his team mate who is showing some commitment to the cause.

He's also unwittingly pointing out his own limitations. Schumacher (who I'm no great fan of) went to Ferarri when it was doing badly, knowing the he (along with Ross Brawn, Rory Byrne, and Jean Todt) had the skills to make a real differnce, both in the car and out of it. Alonso clearly has no such self belief, and wants to jump on the back of whatever car is winning.

As Flemke says, he is a superb driver; Piquet is more representative of that car's true position on the grid....and he's been testing that car for more than a year....
