Love the quotes:-

"They forgot where the break pedal is" (sic). No, I think the break pedal was exactly what they pressed!!! hehe

As for the brakes...they're only as good as the driver using them (and in this case expecting them to perform miracles...).

I always find it amusing when boyracers go on about upgrading the brakes. Try upgrading your observation skills, first.

yikes What the hell do you have to do to get one of those to let go? Looks like a similar problem faced by evo/scooby drivers, lots of grip until it lets go, at which point you're doing xxxmph and Newton's laws come back and bite you.

It is only a problem faced by muppets that think they are Ayrton Senna reincarnate. You really do have to be going ludicrously fast on public roads to exceed the grip levels on a car like this.

I'm not surprised this happens - by the stuff thats been said in the press I bet the driver thought he was untouchable.

Not surprised to find that this has happened. Over enthusiastic driving with a schmuk behind the wheel is enough of a bad combination, but why oh why did it have to be a car like this? Should have been a saxo laugh.

I must admit I couldn't find any 'press' about the accidents, but half the reason we have such draconian ill-founded road laws is due to the public believing all the sh*t in the press! SPEED KILLS etc etc.

You never know, the truth may be that his brakes failed!!!

I took that to mean the stuff in the press about how the car can defy physics etc?

Bit unfair to assume the driver is at fault, it's impossible to know exactly what happened just from the damage.
