As I've said before - if we could all keep to the limit for just six months this whole businness would go out of.... erm... business.

600 speeding motorists to pay for a scamera - I bet they get all that in a day.

Surely if we just go about our business at the defined speed this whole big brother shit will disappea - and then the whole cycle can start again

Nope. Theyll just lower the limits again! and again and again. Untill you cant go anywhere at any speed, except on a bus or train.

Besides, why comply with their "commands"? We;re the masters not them!

To be the 'masters' you have to play them at there own game/gain - its like chess - you have to feint to win - lets take your argument to a logical conclusion - they repeatedly lower the speed limit - so what? Eventually even the politicians are gonna get sick of that and it'll all get dropped.

Take my argument to its logical conclusion - everyone slows down and there is no revenue - suddenly police have to go catching burglars etc etc etc - there is no money from scamera - the accounts don't match up and there is no more investment in scamera. I guarantee that they will all be left rusting by the road side and no one will have any money to even replace the films.

Once you remove the revenue the whole system will collapse.

Simple as that ...

Scameras i believe are just a means to an end. Make a load of cash while getting motorists off the roads, thereby reducing congestion and getting us all on the bus.
It could go either way, although i do agree that if we all did as you suggested, itd kinda piss on their chips.

What a slanted poll - 2 choices are given: 1) a large fine or 2) A jail sentence.

There really should be some other choices, or the only people you will get (or mostly anyway) voting are the hysterical prats that are turning this country into a nanny / police state. Just couldn't the Telegraph open their minds a bit and give some other options like 3) enforce limits where genuine danger spots, but remove limits on some motorways etc etc. (I do accept that the Telegraph have been running a "free country" series of articles showing how this government are turning this country into a police state, so they're not all bad.)
