Which Sat-Nav?
Discussion
Oddly, I did a search on this and turned up diddly squat, so here we go: I'm finally deciding that the time has come for me to say that paper maps are outdated and there is a better way.
Despite navigating my way around the UK by mental geography for the last five years, my increasing senility, Le Mans trip in June, Ring trip later in the year, and planned attendance at other events leads me to think that having a little box telling me where I am is a good idea.
I like the idea that it can re-route me if I take a wrong turn, steer me around traffic hold-ups if necessary, and having a GPS speedo is always a good thing. Also being able to share route files is good - is it only Tom-Toms that can do this?
Looks like the Tom-Tom models are the most expensive for what you get; the Garmin Nuvi and Navman ones are a bit cheaper. So which one will it be? Esteemed PHers, give me your reviews of your equipment please

Odd indeed, there's a whole forum
http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/forum.asp?h=0...Tom Tom Go720 has widescreen, text to speech, bluetooth & euro maps etc. - they've come right down in price as a new model is due soon, so you can pick them up for £160-£170...
Then another £19 per year subscription to pocketGPSworld speed camera database (the most up to date) & you're all set
