For those of you that know it i am talking about the Truvelo camera in High Wycombe, by the Rye, near the Pride pub. Currently it is facing toward the Volkswagon garage.
Well today i came along there, approaching the camera from the Ford Garage end. Speedo was reading 28 ish, and the Road Angel is reading 27. I'm pretty much certain speed limit is 30 along there. Anyway, as I come round the corner, I am about as far from the 3 white lines on the road as they are from the camera when it lets off a single red flash. I check my speed, still both read below 30, there is nothing going the other way and the car in front of me is so far ahead it has already passed the camera. Have I set this off??? Common sense tells me not to worry, but you hear the stories of how NIP's are issued without anyone looking at the photo's so how will anyone be able to tell if this is just a random event.
Your veiws, as always, greatly appreciated

Hi Martyn,
I wouldn't worry. Was anything coming the other way? If so, my guess is:
- The camera flashed twice, even though you may only have noticed one
- An oncoming vehicle set it off
- The camera had no film in it (otherwise an oncoming vehicle couldn't have set it off)
In any case, you were under the limit.
Hope this helps,
Huge

Cheers for the replies guys. I have since been back to the 'scene of the crime' and witnessed for myself it flash again ( only once ) at a car that was heading toward it from it blind side (after it had gone past)!! Blimey, hope that makes sense.
I've had a look at the Truvelo website to find out how they work www.truvelouk.com Very good!! and feel much more relaxed knowing that I was a good ten yards yards at least from the lines when it flashed me and so can't have possibly been done for speeding. According to the website the lines are for a secondary check for speed. If you are going too fast your front wheels should be touching the lines. Even the tyre footprint on a Tiv isn't 10 yds long
Have asked Boiler (Its his car) to keep an eye open, but am feeling much better about myself now.
