Search 'chav', 'barried', or (most appositely) 'Haymarket' and you'll find that, no, it's not just you !

Nothing wrong with modified - after all, a stripped out E30 M3 'ring special is modified. You are right though in that a few of the additions recently seem to have more of a slant towards big wheels and black bonnets. Still, each to their own eh?

You've been here a lot longer than I, but, at least in terms of the adverts, and of people who post once or twice, it seems to have changed rapidly over the last 6 months or so scratchchin

As opposed to H reg VW Polos which are the very core of the PH target readership?

Do you think TVRs, Lotus' and the like on here all remain unmodified?

Chav cars perhaps yes, but modified is not a bad thing. Yes I'm feeling especially pedantic today. smile

I agree that more modified car owners seem to be joining but the ones that don't fit in with the PH ethos seem to be kicked into touch pretty rapidly.

I think on the whole PH manages to moderate itself pretty well in that respect considering the amount of members.

Is it me or are we seeing more and more posts from ever so slightly snobby PH'ers whineing about the change in demographic on this site? I think this is the 5th or 6th such thread I've read on here in the last week. This is an open forum and as such will be used by a variety of people from all walks of life with varied tastes in cars. If people don't want to read about anything 'modified' then don't bloody read it. post your own interesting posts about your rs6 avant or TVR and get a life. Seriously guys, get a life.

5 or 6 threads on the same thing kinda constitutes whineing, younger people are using the site and gaining alot of knowledge along the way whilst sometimes having the balls to 'show off' their car to people who they well know could ridicule them. Don't get me wrong, I detest the chav movement and have no real appreciation of heavily modified cars but just think people on here can be a tad judgemental from time to time. just an observation. wink

Agreed, but I would say it if you want to modify a car go for it, its your own choice. All to their own would sum up my view.
