Hi all, I'm missing having Sat Nav in my T350. I've grown used to it from previous cars and since I have a sense of direction akin to the average blind fellow I thought I might get one of these fitted.

It's one of the folding out screen jobbies with DVD playback etc, silly i know as I'll never use it but it should amuse the girly on trips. Besides, there's a certain flashing lights, bleeping buttons thing about it and god knows I love a big red button at the best of times.

Question is, has anybody installed one of these in their Trevor and what do you think? Another question may be will it smack into the gearstick as it comes out?

I had one in the Sagaris and yes you do need the car in 2nd or 4th gear to avoid contact with the gear stick. Of course it happened on mine a few times but no damage done to either. Just looks a bit pony if you're trying to impress a lady with your latest bond gadget.

I have the same system in my tuscan and it's higher up so no issues this time round. I think it's a great system and much neater than the tom tom thing with wires and suckers all over the shop. Mine's a 2005. I imagine the latest spec is only cooler. Alpine do one very similar which most people rate, as do Kenwood I think. So there's plenty of choice.

Ditto Pits, works very well, very happy, same same with gearstick/handbrake.
