Hi

Could anyone help with the above?

We quite fancy nipping over to France for a cheeky wine/champagne boot fill up and could do with a recommendation or two for somewhere nice to stay the night (say within 50 miles or so of Calais or the tunnel exit) maybe with a decent restaurant or a short walk into a nearby village or town where we could have a choice of places to eat or drink.

We can then nip into a supermarche on the way back (are they open Sunday mornings btw???)

Obviously car parking/security is No 1 priority at the hotel...

cheers

Graham

Every year for the past 5 years we have stayed in a small Chateau in Behan, a couple of miles from Abbeyville and 40 mins from Calais. Totally recommend, 14 of us are booked again for the Le Mans return this year. Operated by two brothers from what was the family home. Fantastic welcome, food and place to stay. No need to find a restaurant, Norbert will cook whatever you want. If you are interested email me and I would be happy to provide more detail.

regards
Darren

Hi,

Have a look at:

http://www.chateautilques.com/

or

http://www.chateaudecocove.com/

I've stayed at both and they are only 25 mins from Calais.
Both are VERY nice with good parking.
The Chateau run has also used these for the last couple of years

Also check out the following for pics:

Hope this helps

Ian
