Dropped the cerb off at http://dhaden.co.uk/cars.htm this morning, seat repair and new carpets. Ill add some before and after pics etc when i get her back, hopefully friday. Also ordered some of the Autostyle mats too.
I had a couple of quotes for the carpets and seats, from a Jaguar custom place who nearly put me off having it done all together to these guys, happy with what they quoted so off its gone, if anybody wants any info its on their site, (no connection) if you want to know the quote just ask. Ive noticed a few people have done it themselves lately.

I really want it done, but my concern is that a retrimmer won't have seen a cerbera before, and won't know how to dismantle it, and will end up totally yanking the interior apart, id really like to have someone do it who knows how to dismantle the cerb's interior with least damage.

I had the same concern and, even though its not a TVR trimmer, the guy seems to know enough about them. When i got home today i thought "bugger, i didnt tell him about the removable bit for the ecu in the passenger footwell, so i ring him up, he just said "yes i know. Cue me feeling like a drip. He knew how to get in, he knew about the seats been a real pain to get out. We did the bolts for him last week though while we were doing the chassis.
So, really i was left a little more at ease.

Got woken up today by the trimmer (im on looooong night shifts) to the sound of, "i cant get the bloody seat bolts out"....... Just been and picked it up, so now ive got to get them out and replace them and drop it back up. The guy was very apologetic but hes working on his own with no ramp access so i dont mind, i did get a look at some of the other work hes got on and it looks good, even so its damn annoying. il get them sorted in the morning.

The quote was a little change from £500 so im not grumbling, especially when one quote i had was for around £5000! yes really.

The trick to getting the seat bolts out is to use a large flat bladed screwdriver to wedge between the head of the bolt and the side of the runner. you can then undo the nuts from underneath.

Use a grinder - new bolts are cheaper than time!

After struggling for ages with bolts spinning the first time I had the seats out, I ended up just snipping them off withe a grinder - job done in 2 min!

When I put them back I use the old method of two normal nuts, one as lock nut, rather than a nylock. That way once you have cracked the first nut they will both spin off without even having to hold the bolt in place. As I have had seats in and out several times during my interior refurbishment this has saved hours as I can have both seats out in under 15 min.
