Sad day - 'Grale for sale....
Discussion
'Tis a sad day, but my beloved Integrale Evo1 has gone up for sale - and this time it is serious.
I know eight months ago I put her up for sale, but TBH I set the price too high for any serious buyers because I just didn't want to sell the thing. 'Grales, for all their faults, get under your skin - they are so characterful and so involving to drive you just don't want to stop.
As DJC says elsewhere on here (been lurking for ages) you don't own an Integrale, you merely look after it for a while.
And it is time for my stewardship to come to close - the need to commute further for a new job means she's no longer practical as my only car and I can't afford to run two.
So CHV is now up for sale here: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/431770.htm and forgive me if I indulge in some shameless promotion for a moment:
She's un-modified, never been raced, rallied or track-dayed (is that a word?). She's a UK sourced Evo1 with the bigger turbo (which is way more brutal than the Evo2's, but suffers from more lag) in Monza Red with the optional Recaro leather seats and aircon.
I spent a long time looking for a 'Grale, and this was the best one I saw. I'm only the second owner, she's been my daily drive for the past three years, and she's about as solid a car as I've ever owned - which has impressed both me and my doubting wife immensely.
I've been to Rallydays, the London2Brighton run, AutoItalia and Goodwood FoS as well as other smaller shows and on every occasion people have come up and congratulated me on her, asked questions, taken photos and so on. Integrales are very special cars and they mean a great deal to a lot of people - I think I will miss that part of owning her the most.
She turns heads everywhere you go, still offers breath-taking performance and I am going to miss her terribly.
£9k ONO - ask any questions you like...

Well, she's gone - but it's too a good home and it looks like Gus is going to have a lot of fun with her.
Thanks to everyone who's expressed an interest in buying her, to all the forum posters who have said kind things about her; thanks to everyone who's chatted to me in traffic queues about her, or just given me a thumbs up over the past few years; to the Evoforum guys for peerless knowledge and generosity of information and support; to the assorted event organisers for your enthusiasm; and big, big thanks to all the specialists who have worked on her over the past few years - you've all made my 'Grale stewardship just that bit more enjoyable.
Cheers to Pistonheads for allowing petrolheads to sell to petrolheads for no money - it makes a big difference and you guys should be applauded!
Right - emotion over - time to find a sutable replacement. When's that new Delta released?
