Which should I get? Is it really worth forking out the extra to get a PS3 for GT5 when it finally comes out, or is Forza 2 just as good or better?

Baring in mind Im Ferrari mad, and Im picky about realism with games/simulators, such as reactions to things eg crashes.

Cheers

Hi there,
I had the same thoughts as you a few months ago. I decided to go with forza the cars handle properly, the tuning is immense you never get bored with game play. It really is the better game i always found that Granturismo handling had to much understeer furious and the cars felt sluggish and dull rage. Theres Nothing like tearing around Silverstone in your favorite Ferrari cloud9 BUY FORZA!

Id consider myself an ex-gran turismo fanboy. i made the decisiion a little over 13 months ago to jump the sony ship and get a 360. I played the original forza on a friends old xbox and by god it was fun. So i bought a 360 and played forza to the death, and then likewise forza2. and for a different dimension try PGR3 and 4 both as good as each other in different ways (PGR4 + Quebec + Snow + 22B = big grins)

And the Top Gear Test track, just seen that will be in GT5, but by the sounds of it then Forza has the edge and is available now! And about £100 cheaper!

but people are saying it is alot of money for this & that, tbh my own opinion, had a 360 on launch, really dont like them, everything from the cheap plastic sort of look of the console, to all the problems i had and sending it off to ms via ups, it was heating up quickly, battery's running out in the controller was annoying, theres probs more too, wasnt for me, as for the ps3 i love it, connect the psp to it, was going to buy a media centre for the living room, dot need to now, just overall happy smile

the downsides to forza in my experience are that unless your lucky, in live games you get smashed off the track straight away by morons. It takes quite a long time to find live games and even rarer are racers who dont cheat. The best way to avoid cheats is to only play private games .

You may want to look out for Ferrari challenge then, out soon and PS3 only I think. Looks pretty decent.

Had a good couple of races with some chaps on here a long time ago, races were always fairly late and I had some silly commute in the morning so never got to play. No commute now and back on live means I'm up for some b-class madness if anyone else is? I have an E30 M3 just begging to be raced some more.

I'm sure I can find a suitable b-class car for some good clean racing!

Yea forza is a good game but GT5 is still ahead, Forza still has more arcade feel to it. Although i must admit i do have fun in my Turbo 4x4 VR6 engined MKII Golf wink

Again, the added bonus of the PS3 is the Blueray player

Why not get Forza + a 360 and wait till the full version of GT5 is out. THen trade the 360 in!

I also belive that you can drive the Ferrari F1 car in GT5:P?

You have a time travelling machine? Cool! When you have finished playing GT5, let me know. I could do with a borrow, as I am after some lottery numbers and st.

Many people have played both the GT5:Prologue demo and full version from Japan, so have a good idea what the handling of GT5 will be like, you don't need a time machine wink

How short peoples' memories are.

Go fire up GT4P. Then play GT4. Different physics.

What does Prologue tell you about damage modelling in GT5?

Quit hogging the time machine.
