Any advice appreciated - I just recieved a letter from the Plod about a speeding offence...

Caught by a Gatso.

I was wondering if anyone knows if there has to be signs in the area of the camera to warn the driver that there are cameras on the road..

I drive down the road (A45 Northampton A428 - A508 Juntions) everyday and i have not seen an obvious camera lurking.

i was doing 70 in a 60 and was wondering what i could do to keep my right to silence..

Any help would be appreciated.

PS - will be starting a site soon to show by photograph and map location where the camera are. Info on location appreciated. If the police & authorities going to use the camera properly everyone has a right to know where they are

I live in Northampton, and if you do ,you should know better. The mobile " safety" camera teams are everywhere, and tomorrows positions are printed in the Chronicle and Echo, and put on the internet every day. Presumably you were caught at the Brackmills/Barclaycard bridge?, a favourite site. I am of course not in favour of any of their tactics, but if you live or travel through Northamptonshire you must be very vigilant. Buy a Geodesy and a Jammer or Diffuser. £700 well spent.

If you want to know more about your right to silence you could go to the ABD website and follow the link on the main page. They are looking for people just like you to fight for right to silence.

Out of curiousity, one wonder what would happen if said "civilians" are followed home one night and beaten senseless? I don't advocate violence, but this is just a hypothetical question... and we know how the public do not support speed enforcement wholeheartedly. It is only the next step after the camera destruction crew sort out a few more boxes.

Still, if my mitigation works out for me in court, I promise to donate 60 quid to the ABD to fight for our rights. If I get fined, I will pay the remainder of 100 quid to the ABD to fight, AND I will purchase some more technology.
