Tonight found white residue under oil cap and white watery streaks on the dip stick, its not overwhelmed but noticible. Thing is, car has been stood doing nothing for 6 weeks with new oil last week, was warmed through today for 10 mins and sounded fine with no leaks. Car brought 8 weeks ago with no engine problems as just serviced. Im hoping this is just a condensation problem or something but advice needed as my mind needs putting at rest. Thanks.
I had the same problem and thought the same! But mine turned out to be condensation due to cold weather..
The check you can do yourself.
1.You need to check the water for oil
2.Get the car upto temp and slowly remove the water cap. Hopefully the system won't be pressurizing, If it is then that a sign of a headgasket failure.

I'd dissagree with this. Once the engine is warmed up the coolant will and should be under pressure unless cooling system design has changed very recently!! The cooling system is a closed system which operates under pressure when warm to prevent the coolant boiling. The check you can do yourself.
