2004 Audi S4 (AMD Stage 3) - Leaking Coolant?

Hi,

I have a 2004 Audi S4 Avant that has the AMD Stage 3 upgrade, after some time of ownership the car has been absolutely spot-on, no problems what so-ever except for friends asking how i got it to sound better than the Bose stereo ;-)

After driving home last Thursday evening, i got home, blipped the remote and noticed that there was some smoke coming from the bottom left hand fog-light, i did not think anything of it at all...... (it had been a long day at office)

On Friday morning i did the usual checks and noticed that i was low on coolant, so i topped it up, ran engine on idle until warm, took it out for a 'blat' and noticed that all to noticeable smell of sweet coolant :-(

I rang the garage and the guy mentioned that the auxiliary rads on the S4's are known to leak, The car is still under extended warranty and its booked in this weekend,

I was just wondering if any other pistonheads have experienced this and I'll let you all know how this goes in terms of warrenty cover.

The auxhillary rads on my wifes 04 S4 were replaced under warranty about 12 months ago with no quibbles at all

Yeah, V8 S4 rads leak for fun

Rads are £150 ea
Easy to change 1hr per rad tops.
