Window not dropping when door opens

As the title says...

My passenger side window isn't dropping when opening the door for some reason.

Anyone got any ideas on a fix, or is it a trip to the cashpoint time?

If it is dropping slightly (ie the window motor is functional) then a can of silicon spray just to lube up the window seals will sort the problem! Seems the motors are a little weak and it could just be that the window seal is dry and gripping the glass too hard and not forcing it down. If the motor has packed up, then egnore the above.

if its construction is the same a tuscan, the motor its on the out side of the door cavity in the middle just below the seal. ontop of the motor is an unprotected PCB, witch gets damp from any water going past the seal.

take door apart, clean / dry & protect the PCB

or

spray some electrical contact cleaner past the seal onto the PCB

It will probably be the connector that comes from the mirror loom inside the door, the wiring for door switch runs through the mirror into teh door. They get water in them and stop making contact. Had this on my T350, cleaned it out and it work ok.

On my car the lever on the micro switch inside the catch had come off.In the lock, rear wing, not the door.Before dismantaling Id check with TVR power.simon
