No more black wheels
Discussion
Just been told by my dealer that the black wheels i spec'd on my new Elise R are no longer available and the black wheel option is being removed from the Elise range
Some colours are gonna look crap without lovely black wheels
Waiting to see what wheels are on my car when it arrives.....

I am a firm believer in less is more, and by that I mean the LESS contrasting colours on a car the better.
Therefore if there is an element of the base car that is significantly black (excluding tyres) then I think "colour coded" wheels are okay and perhaps better than silver alloy if nothing else on your car is silver. Hence even YELLOW wheels on someones green and yellow S1 seem okay.
Black also shows up the brake dust less than all other colours !
FYI I have traditional silver alloys on a silver car

Agree all of the above, in particular the yellow wheels bit (but then I would wouldn't I?).Therefore if there is an element of the base car that is significantly black (excluding tyres) then I think "colour coded" wheels are okay and perhaps better than silver alloy if nothing else on your car is silver. Shame for the choice to be removed though.

Black wheels look the dogs IMO. Shame i dont have this little beauty anymore.

I agree, I think black wheels make the car look far more aggressive, very cool. Some colours just look plain crap without black wheels, white and red come to mind. Why did you get rid of that?
