Just got my Air con panel back just need to finish the electronics now. The 2 knobs turn for ever and have push action so my thoughts are turn to select say fan, temp etc press to set there is a 8 digit Alpha LED display in the middle to show whats happening. overall size is 125 X 42mm.

On another note The car failed its SVA on small things like it needs hole reducers for the fuel tank (LS engine requirement), emissions. Tyres needing paperwork to confirm spec. going to the USA on Sunday so will put in for retest on my return.

Yeah bin there, done that! ( did not get the T shirt mind but who on earth wants one anyhow? ).From what I have seen so far Simon and the little I know of you I am sure SVA will just be a formality but how frustrating is it eh?

1 emissions lambda high on one bank ( think i have an exhaust leak fixed just awaiting testing)
2 Tyres require a bit of paper bit pissed as they were supplied by Ultima (got the paper work now)
3 rear reflectors did not have correct radius (sorted)
4 internal door handles ( have removed for next test)
5 steering ( rotated UJ by 90deg)
6 hand break cable rubbing on rear clip tyre guard ( cut some away)
7 fuel filler (requires max 23.6mm Dia machined some ptfe inserts)
8 requires 2 X brake bias locking nuts (got another one from Ultima)
so all jobs done in a afternoon just need to take down to local garage to test emissions
for info noise was 92Db, weight 1024Kgs so quite happy all things taken into account
all being well will be at Stonleigh

How much is the SVA and is it like MOT where you have a certain amount of time to correct the defaults before being charged again?. What's the turnaround retest time after a failure?
Steve
Hi Steve SVA cost £158 I think, a retest is £32 and about 2 weeks so not too bad for retest they did not mention any time limit and they only test item that failed unless they have a knock on efect. SimonSteve

SVA take a reading at 75% of max.
