Hi guys,

Cars just had oil change and now seems to have white residue in the oil filler cap. Not losing water and theres nothing on the dip stick, just in the cap. Theres actally water drops in it. The cars been stood for a long time and has only just been treated to a makeover and the engine running.

Any help much appreciated

Take the car for a decent run, and check it afterwards it may just be condensation, very possible this time of year rob

Condensation.I used to get this on the filler cap of my air cooled 911s if they were left standing for any length of time.

Just found a simular problem on mine had to leave it out side for awhile and I fitted those rubber rocker cover gaskets as head work, the water runs off the rocker cover and pools in the gasket due to it L shape design then I assume as I forgot to tighten them after the engine had run they were finger tight, when the engine was run it sucked the water in and when taking off the rocks to check the top of the rocker case had mayo bit but the rest of the oil was fine, even had condensation.
