Hi guys

My warranty renewal letter arrived this morning and I was pleasantly surprised that you could get cover on a pay monthly basis! anyway my question is regarding the pricing for different milages. The renewal price goes up steeply once a car has over 60k miles which my car has just exceeded. Is it possible to blag it and say that i've done say 59,600 miles? Is there anyway they can check the mileage? The last service was done at 56k miles and its a good few months before my service is due so do you reckon I can get away with it?

I don't know but I doubt it.

Top Gear or Car magazine, can't remember which run an older M3 and the guy who runs it was saying he went to (I think) Warranty Direct. Worth looking at.

Probably not worth losing all of your money because of it.
Im sure the dealers are a little more shrewd than that.

Note the earlier topic on warranties in this forum (page 2 at the minute) - Warranty Direct doesn't get many good reviews. Stick to the BMW warranty.

You probably could get away with saying the car is less than 60k miles - however, if something does go wrong and you need to make a claim for £x000's would you really want to give them an excuse for not paying up?!?!?

In the event of a claim could you not say you went on a couple of long journeys to Scotland (or wherever) and this is what took the mileage up?

Do you really want to risk it? -- might as well not bother having a warranty at all if you put it at risk. Only have to check your MOT certificate for mileage.
