Anyone else had a similar occurrence as this?

Switched on the 660 and headed off north towards S E London from Gatwick. It took ages to find any satellites, and when it did it gave me a blank screen.

On zooming out a bit it wasn't blank - it showed me about 400 yards west the A22...

Then it decided it wasn't right and placed me accurately on the A22 - and almost as soon decided to jaunt me back to the fields.

This carried on for about 10 miles and 15 minutes - and then, as I crossed the M25 on an OS white road it decided I was now a mile ahead of myself heading due south back towards the M25...

And then all was well for the rest of the trip there and all the way back, and then a trip this afternoon to Horsham.

It wasn't following a route, I simply had it on for the bluetooth connection. It was plugged in to the lighter socket and the TMC was on.

Anyone else had a similar issue? If my other half had been using it I have no idea where it would have taken her!

Could it be a poor reception issue? The only time I had an experience like that with my Garmin 660 was in a hire car with a heat insulated windscreen - it had some reception, but not enough.

Unlikely, it was in the same place it always is and it has clear line of sight to the vertical.

I guess it was having an off day...
