My TVR Chim's seat has suffered scuffing on the leading edge. The former owner was a rather large opera singer. You get the picture.

Is there anything on the market that would make this good ? The material is sound, it's just the surface finish that has been worn. Suggestions would be very much appreciated

Have you tried Gliptone leather cleaner and conditioner? It's good stuff and may remove it.

Try www.benchmarkleather.co.uk I have the same problem and Mark Slade from Benchmark saw it yesterday and can fix it for a reasonable sum.

Yes, only a repair will sort that.
Colour matched leather dye applied, and you'll be good to go.
