I am thinking of wiring one of the 3 outlet fag lighter socket things to my griff, but ideally i would like to have it sitting in the glove box. Is there a good easy to find constant 12 volt source anywhere on the glove box side of the under dash?

cheers Sandy

Why not run a seperate wire down to the battery, easy to tuck it out of the way and you get the best supply you could ?

ETA - Easy to put in an inline fuse as well . . .

Paul Dove, (PJD wiring) put one in for me, but I don't know where he took the power from.

He makes the looms for Emerald ECU's. You could ask him where he used.

Just be aware that method could flatten the battery... I have mine switched on by the stereo (aerial amp) - and a couple of live sockets I can swap over onto if necessary wink Taking off a fused + & - into the footwell (boot & nose) is very useful for charging (and fault tracing).

..or you could ask Ron Dennis, his company has a lot of experience finding power from nowhere. He makes cars for Mercedes. hehe
